With our interconnected degrees in Engineering, ICT and Industrial Design, you can pursue exciting opportunities in diverse areas and learn how to address humanity’s global goals and challenges. This course covers all major engineering domains, so you get to experience what they’re like before deciding on your area of specialisation.

The future presents significant challenges for managing the environment, infrastructure and technology. The world needs innovative engineering, applied science and design strategies. Get to experience areas like Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical and Robotics and Mechatronics and then decide on your specialisation.

This course also allows you to apply your theoretical learnings to fascinating, real-world challenges, like Western's Formula-SAE project, Unlimited Robotics Club, and ongoing Solar Car project. As part of this course, you will also complete 12 weeks of industrial experience. In addition, the Engineering Summer Placement Program offers high-achieving students opportunities for paid placements.

As an Engineering graduate, you can look forward to career opportunities in: Construction engineering; Structural design; Project management; Manufacturing; Renewable energy systems; Robotic and mechatronic engineering.

It allows students the opportunity to choose a discipline area by selecting a key program in Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, and Robotic and Mechatronic engineering.

At the Sydney City campus, this course is available for full-time study only, and only in the specialisations Civil, Electrical and Mechanical.

Students must have Australian Year 12 Higher School Certificate in or outside Australia; International Baccalaureate in Australia; New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA), Level 3. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic version): 6.5 overall score, minimum 6.0 in each subtest; TOEFL internet-based score: Total score 82, Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50; Successful completion of three years (Gao San) with a minimum score for entry to Second Tier universities in China from the National Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) cut off thresholds for Science and the relevant province, or successful completion of the first year of a Bachelor’s degree at a recognized university.
