The B.A. in Dance is designed to provide a solid foundation in the discipline of dance. A minor (or double major) in another field is also required. The B.A. in Dance is a 45 credit hour program. You must achieve a level 4 in one dance genre and level 3 in a second genre in order to graduate.

The dance degrees require students to follow a large common core of courses, which have been carefully structured to provide students with the foundation needed to become artists, educators, and performers. Additionally, all dancers study ballet, jazz, modern, and tap dance technique to round out their dance education. Students also have the opportunity to study point, partnering, and theatre dance.

Students must have a secondary school education and a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5. English Language Requirements: TOEFL iBT 71, TOEFL (Paper or Computer based): 525- paper based; 197- computer based; IELTS (academic version): 6.0 or higher; ELS Language Center: Level 109 completion or higher; Pearson Test of English - Academic (PTEA) 52; SAT Critical Reading (before March 2016); 450 SAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing (March 1, 2016 and after) 460.
