Preschool and early childhood (birth – 5 years): Play a meaningful role in intellectual and social development during the crucial early years.

Primary school (kinder – year 6): Work across the full scale of children’s intellectual, physical and social development.

This degree prepares you for both teaching and non-teaching roles. Work with families and children in various educational settings or play constructive roles in related industries such as policy development and research.

What you will study

Gain specialist skills, knowledge and expertise across pre-school and early years (birth - 5 years) through to primary school levels (kinder - year 6). In your first year, you will develop strong core knowledge of the foundations of child development, schooling, teaching and specialist subjects. Years 3 to 4 will provide you with an increasing breadth of knowledge and expertise across the key learning areas, as well as in various specialist subjects taught in primary school.

Throughout your studies, you will learn and benefit from virtual reality teacher training, professional practical experience placements, research, community experiences and ongoing volunteer opportunities.
