The Master of Surgery (MS) Program requires an original contribution to knowledge in some field related to surgery.

Generally, candidates must have at least three years' experience of surgical training and there should be a lapse of five years before the thesis is submitted from the date of the award of the undergraduate medical degree.

Our association with the staff of St Vincent's Hospital and its co-located research institutes and facilities allows our students and staff opportunities to thrive in an atmosphere of dedication and excellence. State of the art clinical skill, information and computing resources are available on site. We aim to refine and improve our performance in teaching, strengthen the breadth and depth of our research performance, actively participate in community service initiatives and provide efficient and effective support systems for professional development.
