Why Advertising?

Our Advertising degree will equip you with the skills to successfully develop campaigns across digital, social, TV and print media, along with professional contacts to help launch your career. You’ll develop abilities in art direction, copywriting, photography, design and moving image, as well as a strong understanding of the importance of brand identity and innovation in the market. With opportunities to work on live briefs, gain experience and pitch ideas to top agencies such as McCann, Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi, our graduates stand out from the competition. There’s also the chance to showcase work and make key industry contacts at D&AD’s New Blood exhibition, London (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details).You’ll draw on the expertise of accomplished lecturers, with experience of working for renowned global brands such as Nike, Disney, LEGO and Superdry. You’ll even have the chance to gain recognition for your work and follow in the footsteps of previous students who have won international awards, such as YCN Professional Awards, the Gold Award at the Roses Awards, Chip Shop Awards, the Shelf Awards, Creative Conscience Awards and the DMA Breakthrough Award. Our new Design Centre, complete with a dedicated advertising studio and boardroom, offers a special collaborative, creative environment where innovation and talent can develop and thrive. You’ll also benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and industry-standard Adobe CC software.
