Introduction

Biochemistry Bachelor of Science (Hons) Program (3 years) has been offered by the Biotechnology Faculty and Bimolecular Sciences since 2004 and now the program name has been changed to Bachelor of Biochemistry with Honours to produce graduates who can meet the needs of national talent in biochemistry either in the public sector , private and self employed.

Program Learning Outcomes

Program Objectives (Educational Objectives Program, PEO) Bachelor of Biochemistry with Honours is to give birth:

Biochemist members who have strong basic knowledge and have technical skills in biochemistry.

Researchers who have critical thinking in using the knowledge and skills acquired to develop a biochemically-based National economy.

Graduates who have a positive attitude and can adapt to a competitive global working environment.

Ethical, integrity, innovative, proactive graduates and continuing lifelong learning in biochemistry as well as other fields involved.

Career Information

Graduates of this program have wide career opportunities either in the public or private sector. Graduates can continue to pursue higher education at either university within the country or abroad. Among the job opportunities are the areas of research and development, monitoring and control, production and processing, education and training, technical services, entrepreneurship and management.

Applicant who is interested in pursuing his/ her studied at UPM must fulfil the following: To have received a National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level or the equivalent of 12 years of basic education) with the grade 80% and above. or a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00. English Language Requirements: IELTS - Minimum overall score of 6.0 for TESL/English or 5.5 for other programmes; or TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 550 for TESL/English or 500 for other programmes; or Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - enrolled at ELS-UPM - Level 109 English or Level 107 for other programmes.
