Registered Degree Nurses continue to emerge as leaders in health care system. Nursing is an honoured profession, and unique from other health disciplines. They are highly recognized for their positions in administration, education, graduate studies and many other disciplines.

The Bachelor of Nursing in UPM continues its tradition in the nursing education by offering a contemporary curriculum including core and specialty nursing courses that prepares graduates to provide care to people of all ages and in all settings. This program offers a 4 year degree that has been fully approved and accredited by the Nursing Board Malaysia. In addition, the International Center of UPM support globally International nursing experiences through international student exchange, which allows students to expand their knowledge and skills of nursing care.

Career and internship information

Nursing graduates may pursue a career in field of education; they can be nurse educator and clinical instructor in the colleges and universities

As clinical practitioner in hospital or community graduates can also be nurse manager, rehabilitation nurse, counselor, health educator/advisor, nurse consultant/specialist, diabetic nurse and as an occupational health nurse

Graduates can also undertake postgraduates' course in any field and become researchers

Applicant who is interested in pursuing his/ her studied at UPM must fulfil the following: To have received a National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level or the equivalent of 12 years of basic education) with the grade 80% and above. or a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00. English Language Requirements: IELTS - Minimum overall score of 6.0 for TESL/English or 5.5 for other programmes; or TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 550 for TESL/English or 500 for other programmes; or Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - enrolled at ELS-UPM - Level 109 English or Level 107 for other programmes.
