Undertake an independent research project and further your passion for native fauna by extending your Bachelor of Wildlife Science expertise with an honours year.

The Bachelor of Wildlife Science (Honours) is an additional year of study following on from the Bachelor of Wildlife Science. This program provides an opportunity to pursue an independent research project within the Wildlife Science field under the supervision of a wildlife-focussed academic staff member.

In addition, you'll acquire skills in research methodologies, research communication and entrepreneurship which will enable you to continue into a research higher degree or move into a diverse range of employment.

The Honours year builds on the knowledge gained through the Wildlife Science program, including study of native and exotic amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, biodiversity and human-wildlife interactions.

With this extended program, you'll develop further expertise in wildlife management programs for captive and free-ranging wildlife and be able to make a major contribution to the wildlife, game and vertebrate pest management industries in Australia.

IB score varies based on the subject taken. International Baccalaureate Diploma Scores: Minimum of 26 - 42. To be offered a place in an undergraduate program, you need to have successfully completed Queensland Year 12, or a qualification equivalent to Queensland Year 12, with the required minimum entry score for the program you're interested in studying. English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
