Arts and commerce have often been viewed as contradictory forces but the Bachelor of Arts with a Second Major in Business at Notre Dame shows that commercial skills can be successfully harnessed by those working in many creative fields. Consisting of five core courses, such as Business Law, Marking and Economics, plus a number of electives, this degree will provide you with a solid foundation for modern commercial practice.

Why study this degree?

Taken as part of a Bachelor of Arts, our Business Second Major will provide you a solid grounding in modern business practice, which will allow you to successfully operate in a number of working environments – from government departments to private enterprise and the not-for-profit sector. You can choose from a wide range of business-related units, such as Marketing, Innovation, Business Law, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and the Psychology of Work.

Apart from attending a number of campus-based lectures and tutorials, you will also complete 150 hours of work experience. This ensures that you get plenty of hands-on training during your degree, and have the opportunity to showcase your learnings in a real-world setting.

Our Business Second Major will equip you with the underpinning commercial skills required to successfully operate in a business environment. Business as a Second Major must be paired with another Arts stream such as Advertising, Applied Psychology, History, Journalism, English Literature, Film & Screen Production or Theatre Studies.

National College Entrance Exam (Gao Kao): A minimum of 63% of the overall score (Tier 1); A minimum of 70% of the overall score (Tier 2); A minimum of 75% of the overall score(Tier 3). Applicants must meet high school qualifications (or equivalent) to apply for undergraduate program. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 overall, with no individual band score lower than 6.0; CAE/CPE - 176 overall, with no individual band score lower than 169; PTE Academic - 58 overall, with no individual band score lower than 50; TOEFL (iBT) - 84 overall, with no score lower than 21 in writing and no other band score lower than 17.
