The Master of Education program in Higher Education Administration (M.Ed.) offers opportunities for individuals who seek careers in middle management and leadership positions at community colleges and universities. Students can choose from a thesis or a non-thesis option. The non-thesis option is 36 hours above the Bachelor's degree and 39 hours for the thesis option. This program is currently offered onsite only. Admission is offered in any term but students are encouraged to begin in the fall or spring to help facilitate their sequence of courses.

The Master of Education program in Higher Education Administration offers opportunities for individuals who seek careers in entry level to middle management, teaching, and leadership positions at community colleges and universities. Graduates of the TTU Higher Education Masters Program will be collaborative, team-oriented, practitioner-based professionals who have the ability to access, evaluate and develop solutions to higher education problem(s) of practice.

How is the program delivered?

The Master's degree is delivered through traditional in-classroom courses, however some summer courses may be offered online.

Course of study / Course Sequence

The Master in Higher Education Administration curriculum has been developed to assist students to develop the requisite knowledge, skills and competency needed by higher education administrators of tomorrow. Courses will be taken in a prescribed manner according the chosen option for the master's degree. (See appropriate handbook under the current student resources tab)

Graduates of the TTU Higher Education Program will be able to develop and evaluate the impact of a solution to higher education problem(s) of practice. These solutions will be characterized by the use of team-based collaboration and its enrichment by diverse views and people.
