Beginning courses examine technical principles and the complex nature and power of video. You’ll have access to digital video and audio facilities and equipment, as well as opportunities to screen your work in the community. At the end of your four years, you’ll be ready to pursue work in the film industry, make video and multimedia for professional artists, or build careers in web design, videography, and game design.

Courses

Core coursework centers on studio concepts, interconnected studios, and transmedia. Sample courses include:

Advanced Post-Production Techniques

Video Art History

Art video includes several outside learning opportunities for students in the program including:

Dynamic internship opportunities including those with Sundance, Cannes Film Festival, and NBC Universal.

Coursework and internship experience with a six-week summer class in Los Angeles.
