Teaching is in English, but if you would like to develop or brush up your French language skills, St Mary's also offers French language short courses that can help prepare you for your semester in Paris.

The collaboration between ICP and St Mary’s offers you a wonderful opportunity for cross-cultural learning, increasing your understanding of the English, French and EU legal systems. Academics from both institutions will teach at the other sharing specialist knowledge of their own legal system and discipline areas.

Assessment methods

All assessments are designed to develop your employability skills. The programme will develop your in-depth legal knowledge and key skills of emotional intelligence, teamwork, inter-cultural practice and leadership. These will be evaluated through carefully crafted authentic assessments with significant opportunity for self-reflection.

Assessments take the form of individual and group work including reports, case studies, presentations, group projects and viva voce.
