Saint Louis University's Master of Public Health/Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology dual degree program is a collaboration between the College for Public Health and Social Justice and the College of Arts and Sciences clinical psychology doctoral program.

Requirements

This integrated program requires completion of Ph.D. requirements as well as the fulfillment of a complete M.S.P.H.BSHE degree (36 credits), which includes 12 credits of coursework from the College of Arts and Sciences Clinical Psychology Ph.D. degree requirements.

Public Health Curriculum Overview

SLU's Master of Science in Public Health program requires 36 credits. Students complete a research project incorporating the principles of their chosen concentration that results in a manuscript of publishable quality.

Clinical Psychology Curriculum Overview

Thirty-six credits are required for SLU's master's degree in clinical psychology, including 30 credits of departmental and clinical core coursework and six credits of thesis research. Each student must complete and defend a thesis. Upon completion of the master's degree, doctoral students complete an additional 42 credits of coursework and 12 credits of dissertation research.

Ph.D. students conduct a public presentation and oral defense of the dissertation following completion of this research project. They must also complete an APA-approved internship in clinical psychology prior to receiving their doctoral degree.

English Language Proficiency Requirements: Paper-based TOEFL (PBT) 550; Computer-based TOEFL (IBT) 80; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.5; Pearson Test of English (PTE) 54.
