This program is for students who hold a Diploma of Teaching (ECE) or equivalent, but would like to gain a degree qualification. Studied solely online, students will build on their existing knowledge and develop skills to a degree level, focusing on leadership, research and quality curriculum in early childhood education.

NZTC Upgrade:

If you have completed your Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) at New Zealand Tertiary College, the New Zealand Tertiary College upgrade to a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) program is a 20 week full-time program.

Upgrade:

If you have completed your Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) (Level 7) or equivalent at another education provider, the upgrade to a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) program is a one year full-time program.

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) Upgrade you may be eligible to apply for the following postgraduate programs. Entry criteria will apply.

Mode of learning

Online: Online is a flexible mode of learning without face-to-face attendance requirements. All study is conducted through NZTC Online. Courses are completed and assessed online, and you are part of an online learning community where you can interact with other students and lecturers through online discussion forums to assist your learning.
