The Bachelor of Music is a four-year degree program that prepares students for a career in music. Students take two years of general music study before selecting a major. All students get four full years of private lessons on their instrument or voice. Entrance to the program is by audition. Instruction is available on all major orchestral and band instruments including: winds, brass, strings, percussion as well as voice, piano, organ, harpsichord, and classical guitar.

The bachelor of music is a four year program that combines the highest musical excellence in an intimate setting of student and faculty collaboration. From day one you will experience close mentorship to fast track your musical development, professional opportunities to build your career, and a program that equips you with the skills, knowledge and courage to create your musical career.

Other English Language Requirements accepted: The Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Assessment with a minimum band scores of between 50 and 60 in each of the four skills tested (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking), with at least two band scores of 60 are the minimum requirements necessary for admission to the Marine Institute; A minimum score of at least 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees (CanTEST) with a minimum band scores of 4.5 in the listening comprehension and reading comprehension sub-tests and a score of 4 in writing are required to satisfy Marine Institute English proficiency requirements; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) with a minimum score of 85.
