Murdoch University's degree program is approved by the Ministry of Education Singapore with a unique global educational experience. Students are able to transit smoothly to any of the Murdoch locations in Perth, Singapore, Dubai.

This Major provides students with the journalism skills to operate in the digital era of news, such as practical reporting, writing and producing skills. It investigates the ethical, legal and cultural contexts of the news media, and allows students to learn about the industry and the influence of journalism on society. The programme also bolsters the students’ learning with the practical experience of working in an online newsroom.

In this Degree programme, you will develop a broad understanding of your field and proficiency in producing written and oral arguments and creative artefacts in response to social, human and natural phenomena. You will also develop a critical appreciation of the perspectives of others. As an Arts graduate, you will be able to think critically and creatively, apply knowledge and information, and communicate effectively. These are professional skills which are essential across a range of industries. You will also be able to pursue further study in the fields of social research, the humanities and/or the creative arts.

Students have the option to enrol in either single or double majors.

Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the course structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Business in International Business and Web Communication (Double Major) from Murdoch University. The Degree is exactly the same as that awarded to on-campus graduates in Australia.

Students with Polytechnic Diplomas will gain entry to Year 2 of the programme, and they can complete the programme in 16 months instead of 28 months. The Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Events and Human Resource Management (Double Major) accepts a wide range of qualifications with advanced standing: These include: Polytechnic Diploma; Advanced Diploma; Kaplan Diploma; Private Diploma will be assessed on a case-by-case basis ACCA. Applicants admitted to the programme may be required to undertake bridging units to fulfil the required prerequisite knowledge. The final decision rests with Murdoch University. Successful completion of a recognized approved Diploma qualification of higher, where the language of instruction was English. English Language Requirements: IELTS 6.0 – 6.5 (to be assessed by the university).
