Designed for professionals from diverse backgrounds seeking advanced leadership positions in the private, public, and military sectors, the master’s in project management trains students for managerial positions where they assume responsibility for improving business performance.

Because project management has become a business strategy of choice, this degree program develops skills and competencies in project management and in identified concentration areas such as operations research, information systems, or other areas of interest selected by the student. Graduates are empowered to become dynamic and effective project managers.

All Florida Tech professors have doctorate degrees in management, information systems, or related fields, and many of them have been certified as Project Management Professionals through the Project Management Institute.

Hands-On Practical Experience

During the final year of study, master’s in project management program students have an opportunity to obtain hands-on, practical experience in the field by working with organizations needing project management expertise. The capstone experience involves work on a complex, real-life project management challenge in a team-based environment, and enables students to demonstrate a mastery of project management competencies.

Students looking to enroll in a master's degree program at Florida Tech must hold a bachelor's degree (four-year degree) in a related field from a recognized, regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent). Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 as an undergraduate in order to be considered for admission to a Florida Tech master's degree program. Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with an earned score of at least 79, an IELTS with an earned score of at least 6.0, a PTE Academic with an earned score of at least 58, a Cambridge English: Advanced with an earned score of at least 180 (Grade of C), an official Florida Tech TOEFL (paper-based) with an earned score of at least 550
