An information systems specialist analyses an organisation’s systems and processes. Their ideas and recommendations help solve problems and improve effectiveness and efficiency.

This major will help you gain employment in the business side of IT. You’ll learn how business information systems are selected, managed and applied to business problems. You’ll also learn how to analyse systems and manage projects.

The Business Information Systems (Professional) major is comprised of 12 core units to extend your knowledge and meet accreditation requirements of the Australian Computer Society.

The Business Information Systems (Professional) major can be studied alongside a specialisation/minor, four elective units or as a double major with Business Information Technology (Professional) with accreditation by the Australian Computer Society.
