The Faculty of Education’s Adult Education programs offer you flexible opportunities to advance your professional knowledge and skills in adult teaching and learning environments. An adult educator’s expertise is invaluable not only in traditional learning environments, like colleges or other classrooms, but also in corporations, industrial sites, medical facilities, public service agencies, boardrooms, and anywhere that training and development require a solid foundation in the principles and practices of adult education. Most of our students are part time, mature distance learners who apply their degrees in a range of sectors such as business, industry, health care, government, post-secondary sectors, financial services and manufacturing. These sectors need educators of adults who have the knowledge and skills to facilitate adult learning. Applicants must have Senior Secondary school credential appropriate for entry to university in your home country; academically rigorous grade 12 year; Minimum B- average (higher for some programs). Applicants who have successfully completed the IB diploma with the appropriate prerequisite subjects will be considered for admission. Students must have completed a (Grade 12) Senior High School Graduation Certificate (3 Years) plus final transcript showing Grade 12 first and second term grades. English proficiency requirements: IELTS - overall 6.5, no band below 6.0, TOEFL - overall 88, with minimum 21 on speaking and 21 on writing, MELAB - overall 85, no other part under 80, CAEL - overall 70, no other band score under 60, IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program.
